Paradise Road Galleries

Paradise Road Galleries was founded in 1998 by Kalasuri Udayshanth Fernando with a focus towards presenting exhibitions of artists from Sri Lanka and the South Asian region. In 2021 the gallery extended it's dedication to supporting emerging artists via the Udayshanth Foundation where, in collaboration with Saskia Fernando Gallery, the A4A Production Fund was established. While presenting leading contemporary artists, the gallery has exhibited the works of Sri Lankan modernists including Lionel Wendt and George Claessen. The gallery is dedicated to providing a platform that extends beyond the gallery's main location within the Paradise Road Group of Companies world-renowned restaurant, The Gallery Café, and has presented exhibitions at the Harold Peiris Gallery and Lionel Wendt Gallery in Colombo. Udayshanth Fernando focuses on the curation of the company's private work of art throughout all the Paradise Road locations, which combined come together as the largest privately owned collection of Sri Lankan modern and contemporary art.
